Hifu Non Surgical Facelift
How does HIFU non surgical facelift work?
The technology is unique in its ability to penetrate ultrasound energy to 3 depths of the skin structure, the highly focused ultrasound energy creates thermal coagulation zones at three different selected depths 1.5mm and 3.0mm dermis and the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layer at 4.5mm, which is deeper than all other non-invasive treatments, a wound healing response results in the formation of new collagen, thus providing a longer term tightening. The SMAS layer is the same area tightened during conventional surgery, however, unlike surgery, HIFU is more affordable and requires no downtime.
Generally a noticeable improvement in the patients facial contouring, lines and wrinkles will be visible within a 1-4 week period, whilst further improvement in skin tightening and wrinkles will be reportedly seen up to 6 months. There is no downtime with this non-invasive procedure, no aesthetic required, immediate full recovery, can have sensitivity, slight redness, swelling and tenderness for 14 to 21 days, results can last up to 18 months. Each HIFU facial treatment takes between 30-120 minutes.
Non Surgical Facelift
HIFU targets the same layer of skin addressed in cosmetic surgery, penetrating the foundation layer of your skin. Instead of using lasers, which infiltrate the skin from the outside in, the HIFU facelift bypasses the surface of the skin, and delivers targeted energy specifically into the deep, structural tissues and muscles where collagen lives.
The HIFU treatments work by penetrating the skin with ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production in the deep dermal and sub dermal levels, resulting in micro injury to the tissue. As the tissue heals, it increases collagen. As these collagen fibres organise and shorten, a tightening effect is seen on the skin.
